Conexus Safety Leadership Breakfast

On Wednesday 16^th November, representatives from the mining, resources, manufacturing and transport industries came together at the Hilton Hotel to attend the Conexus Consulting Safety Leadership Breakfast. 

Speaking at the breakfast was Andrew Russell, Director of Conexus Consulting and Ian Horton, Project Director at Macmahon Mining.  Conexus have worked with Macmahon for the past four years, rolling out Zero Harm workshops to Leaders and Crews.  Ian spoke about how working with Conexus transformed and sustained a strong safety performance within Macmahon, which resulted in the Eaglefield mine site being rated as the best performance out of all Queensland surface coal mines for their Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate of zero in 2010-2011.

Also up for discussion was the ways in which Conexus generates commitment to making safe choices and creates behavioural and cultural change across all levels of an organization.  Andrew showcased the suite of safety leadership solutions that Conexus provides including, Courageous Conversations Workshops; Toolbox Talks; Management Tours; Leadership Coaching and Cultural Surveys.
